The Lab

Project Beaker

Where we share the internal tools that power Brightly Media Labs.

We're a marketing agency first. But when we couldn't find the right tools to do our best work, we built them. Project Beaker is the lab where those internal tools graduate into products — battle-tested by our own teams, then released for yours.

SheetAlerts overview: automate Google Sheets notifications across Email, Google Chat, Slack, MS Teams, and Discord

Real workflows, running on Sheets you already have.

A few patterns our own team uses every day.

Budget pacing

Multiple accounts over pacing → grouped Slack pings to each account owner, one digest per person instead of dozens of pings.

if F > 110% (group by col:G)

Campaign performance

Sudden conversion drop → email to the ad ops team and a Slack ping to the account owner pulled directly from the row.

if E < -30% (vs prior day)

Status milestones

Stage marked “Complete” → fire once only. No spam if the row is edited again later.

if Z = "Complete" (first-time only)

More tools, brewing now.

We're always tinkering on something new. If you have a workflow you wish someone would build a tool for, we'd love to hear it.
